Vaud's white wines are well-known, but red wines from the region are relatively unknown. The winegrower’s organization «OVV Office du Vin Vaudois» aims to change that: They are introducing a distinctive red wine label called «Escargot Rouge» and promoting it in the German-speaking part of Switzerland with a unique promise – as a language course: learn French, easier with «Escargot Rouge». The campaign picks up exactly where most German-speaking Swiss left off in the classroom – with a misspelled brand claim and headlines entirely in school French. We say cheers and «Apprendre le Français, ça vin mieux avec l’escargot de Vaud.»
